My Wife, Mother in law  and 5 Children

1972 I was born in Chicago and raised in a single parent home. I watched my mother struggle just to make ends meet, pay bills and put food on the table, sometimes working two and three jobs. But despite tough times, mother taught me to be a strong man and to have faith in God.

1982 At the age of 10 I made a promise to myself and the little girl that lived across the street that I would one day marry her. We were also in the 5th grade class together.

We both lived in Chicago, IL. This is the last picture together at a dinner outing before my mother would move our family to Florida. I was about 12 years old and she 11 years old here.

Octavia visits my family in Florida in 1988. I was 16 and she 15 years old. We dressed up in old clothes pretending to be getting married. We had never even kissed. We decided to wait until that special wedding day. We were two determined and strong young people.

It became official at the age of 20 I proposed to her and officially asked her to marry me.

May 1995 at age of 22 we exchanged vows and our dream came true. Our first kiss at the altar and we keep ourselves through high school and college for each other. And to this day our love is fresh. She is the girl of my dreams and we are still in love after all these years with 5 wonderful children.
